Manipur protesters to move Centre
There seems to be no respite for Manipur. The restive north eastern state still embroils in protest against the three Bills cleared by the assembly to boost safety and security of the indigenous lot.
Talking to Assam Times, Churachandpur JAC spokesperson L Swami said that they can’t repose faith on chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh who, of late, have invited them for talks. “Why should we move him. We will talk to the Prime Minister. We will talk to the Union home minister” she said.
JAC makes it plain and simple that they would allow to bury the protesters only after the authority fulfills their demands which include resignation of tribal MLAs, withdrawal of three controversial bills and separate administration for the hills districts.
