NDFB-S cadre arrested

Security forces have claimed to capture a NDFB-S cadre from Serfanguri bazar early morning on Sunday under Serfanguri Police station in Kokrajhar district. 

According to police, based on an input about presence of the militant outfit cadres in the area, a joint team of police and army launched an operation in the area manage to arrest a cadre of the NDFB-S along with arms from Serfanguri bazar this morning around 4.30 am. 

The arrested was identified as Doukha Narzary@ N Doctai, a Myanmar trained cadre of the organization in 2013. 

A country made 9 mm pistol and four live amunitions were recovered from him.

The United People’s Party(UPP) candidate  for Kokrajhar east Pratibha Brahma filed nomination papers to the Returing Officer at DC office in Kokrajhar on Monday. NDFB-S ultra held

Security forces apprehend a NDFB(S) cadre from Basabil area under Gossaigaon PS on Sunday in Kokrajhar district. Based on information about the presence of the militant outfit cadres in the area, a joint team of police and army launched an operation where a listed cadre of Gossaigaon platoon of the NDFB(S) was arrested along with arms. He was identified as Sanjay Narzary of Borsabil village. A pistol, two round ammunition was recovered from him.

BPF leaves three more seats to BJP

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has left three constituencies- Sorbhog, Rangia and Bhawanipur to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), its ally party.
