Why RTI needs to be changed?

Chief Information Commissioner Himangshu Sekhar Das is dead opposed to any change in the existing RTI Act. He only wants altering the rules for faster disposal of queries. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Monday, Das said “We can change the rules so that the disposal of information is faster and more accurate." According to him, the implementation of the Act has brought in more transparency and has affected the decision making process of the government in a positive way.
