Notably, earlier the Gauhati High Court directed the Arunachal Pradesh government to submit the information regarding how many public servant sanction is to be granted and out of them how many are retired and how many are in service.

The Court deferred the hearing of the discharge of the DGP from the contempt proceedings till September 28. But it exempted the personal appearance of the DGP. It is mentioned herein that earlier the High Court had issued non-bailable warrant of arrest against the Chief Secretary and the DGP, which was subsequently stayed by the Supreme Court on September 9.

Additional Advocate General, Kardak Ete appeared for the Chief Secretary and Senior Counsel Bhaskar Dev Konwar appeared for the Director General of Police.
