Das fate hangs in balance

The Gauhati High Court on Monday will decide on the fate of Gopinath Das who is an absconding rape accused. But policemen probing the sensational case have been carrying out operation in many place in the city and its adjoining areas in search of the Boko AIUDF MLA who allegedly raped his minor domestic help inside his car a couple of weeks back.

Immediately after his anticipatory bail plea was rejected by CJM court, he moved the high court for an interim bail where his case would come up for hearing on Monday. Local residents in Boko continue to hit the streets demanding immediate arrest of the MLA.
