Bye poll in Jalukbari!

Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma’s resignation is bound to pave the way for bye election in the Jalukbari constituency as the state has seven months to go to the assembly polls.

BJP poll strategists want the bye election in Jalukbari to boost the morale of the party in rank and file.

Immediately after joining the party, Dr Sarma left it all on the Congress leadership. But a week after it he preferred resignation and fresh mandate.
