Flood disconnects Tarraso

Flood waters continue to wreak havoc in Taraso in Arunachal Pradesh. The major rivers Tarasso, Basilo and Bormai have been flowing dangerously causing extensive damages of standing cops.

Circle officer Kipa Raja said that the water levels of the rivers have started rising following  the incessant rains that lashed the state for the last couple of days.
Worst damages to agricultural crops has taken place in Bormai, Upper Tarasso and Lower Taraso due to change in the course of the river due to sudden increase in the water volume.

The flood waters have caused massive erosion of the school compound of Taraso School where a market shed was washed away. The under construction PMGSY road from Balijan to Taraso has been extensively damaged by landslides and flooding.
