Rs 207 cr relief to Dispur

An internal group of ministers will be visiting the state’s flood-hit areas in a day or two. Disclosing this before reporters in Guwahati, DoNER minister Jitendra Prasad Singh said that the Centre has yet to received any letter from Dispur asking from grant to help the state bail out of the flood situation.

But, he said, Dispur will receive Rs 207 crore from the Centre to manage the current situation arising out of the flood fury.
Earlier, he along with revenue minister Dr Bhumidhar Barman visited the flood-hit areas and met the marooned people.
