Why land deal important

Prime minister Narendra Modi said that he struck the Indo-Bangla land swap deal only to settle decade old border dispute with the neighbour.

Border dispute can only be settled only through dialogue and that this has forced his government to sign the lad swap deal with Bangladesh to settle the entire huge issue once for all.
