Senior journo ailing

There is no let-up in the condition of senior journalist Hiten Mahanta who has been undergoing treatment at the GNRC Hospitals in Guwahati.

He was brought to GNRC on August 5 immediately after he was believed to have sustained head injury. A team of experts led by senior neurosurgeon Dr. Deva Kumar Borgohain and Dr. Prasenjit Deka has been attending on the senior journalist.

He is a known patient of stroke, high blood pressure and normal pressure hydrocephalus and received treatment for stroke earlier at GNRC itself. According to treating physicians he is in a critical condition.
