Union minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju on Saturday accused Congress of doing politics over the recently signed Naga peace pact.
Talking to reporters in the sidelines of a function in Sonapur in the outskirt of Guwahati, he said that the pact would be made public in due course of time.
He said, “Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi along with his Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur counterparts Nabam Tuki and Ibobi Singh welcomed the pact. Immediately after the meeting with Sonia Gandhi, they started opposing it.”
He said that peace is top priority for the north eastern region. He claimed to have restored peace in the region during the last 14 months.
