Muslim militant arrested

A hardcore Muslim Tiger Force of Assam (MTFA) militant  was apprehended  from Fakiragram area in Kokrajhar district today during a joint search operation by the army and police.

Sources said based on inputs, a mobile check post was established by the army and police from where the Muslim militant was arretsed. He has been identified as Mominur Ali of Bhodiyaguri. 

One .22 factory made pistol, 2 live rounds were recovered from him.

The Mwihur International Theatre Festival has ended in Kokrajhar, Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). The seven-day festival took place at the Bodofa Cultural Complex, Chandamari. NDFB-S ultra held

Security forces apprehend a NDFB(S) cadre from Basabil area under Gossaigaon PS on Sunday in Kokrajhar district. Based on information about the presence of the militant outfit cadres in the area, a joint team of police and army launched an operation where a listed cadre of Gossaigaon platoon of the NDFB(S) was arrested along with arms. He was identified as Sanjay Narzary of Borsabil village. A pistol, two round ammunition was recovered from him.

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has left three constituencies- Sorbhog, Rangia and Bhawanipur to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), its ally party.
