Universities, schools and colleges will have to bear the brunt if ragging incidents are allowed to take place.

In a recent letter, higher education director P. Jidung asked all the authorities of the schools, colleges and universities to firmly deal with the incidents of ragging.
The authorities will have to submit report on ragging along with steps to deal with the menace during 2014-2015.

The regional meteorological centre in Guwahati recorded a maximum temperature of 38.8°C on Wednesday. It predicts hardly any relief during the next 48 hours.
