Protest rally against ULFA
Patriotic citizens of Assam is taking out a protest rally on Sunday to demonstrate their angers against the ULFA (Independent) militants, who have been targeting the unarmed people of Assam for many years.
In a statement, the Patriotic People’s Front Assam has urged the conscious people of the State to join in the rally, which is starting from the front of Guwahati Press Club at 11 am and send a strong message to ULFA leader Paresh Barua, who remains visible through some media outlets and continues disruptive activities including the killing of common people.
The Front argues that ULFA rebels are eliminating the Indian citizens in eastern Assam to make space for the illegal Bangladeshi nationals as a return gesture to the populous country, where once they took refuge. It asserted that the killing of people must be stopped in Assam and the citizens should join the protest rally.
