AFSPA heat on Kiren Rijiju

A new north eastern organization condemned Kiren Rijiju for allowing the Centre to extend AFSPA in Nagaland.

In a statement, Save Sharmila Solidarity Campaign Team alleged that the Union minister of state who hails from the region never opposed the move.

According to the organization, the move has proved himself as an opportunist politician rather than being a true representative of people.

If Rijiju was bypassed by the Centre, he must clarify his position, said Ravi Nitesh, convener of SSSC.

SSSC appeals with the government to re consider its orders and to adopt measures and strategies that can save people of AFSPA imposed region from human rights violations.
