Suspected Block Widow militants have killed one more person near Haflong on Friday morning to make the sutuation more volatile. According to information, one ZP Roia was killed near Haflong at around 10-45 morning. Roia is said to be the president of the Beitei apex body. Immediately after the incident the armed rebels left for the dense forest areas nearby.
Notably, the murder and mayhem in the North Cachar hills district have forced Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi to cut short his China visit. Mr Gogoi is expected to be back to the state on Friday. On the other hand, the Centre is also expected to announce a panel to study the security aspects of the hills district.
In yet another development, KNLNF militants has served quit notices to the Hindi speaking people from the hills districts which is set to make the situation more volatile.
