Security forces claimed to have killed at least 30 militants during the ongoing operation along the Indo-Myanmar border a week after NSCN-K killed 20 army men in the Manipur ambush.

According to reports, the Centre has rushed security forces on Mi-17 helicopters from the Army's 21 Para (Special Forces) along with Assam Rifles to the places bordering Myanmar.
The commandoes had to proceed on foot to raid two camps. But by then the dreaded militants managed to escape the operation.
The authorities have yet to ascertain the number of casualty even after claiming to have killed over 30 insurgents.
Army authorities are believed to have been in touch with Myanmar.
