House panel meets FINER

The parliamentary committee of home affairs shall personally look into the matter for the development of the North East Region. This was what the delegation assured FINER at a meeting in Guwahati on Wednesday.

The panel chairman and the members heard to FINER officials and took note of the issues.

FINER was represented by Chairman R S Joshi, Vice Chairman Pabitra Buragohain and Directors, R.K More and Sunil Agarwal.

The delegation submitted a memorandum to the Committee on the issues pertaining to the Region which needs to be addressed in the right earnest.

Joshi also apprised the Committee the issues concerning growth of NE Region and problems prevalent were explained. Issues of NEIIPP, Investment in the Region by PSUs, promoting NE Region as an Integrated Industrial Zone and other current issues were raised.
