Dhul exponent dead

The sudden death of Prasen Bora triggered a clash at the Guwahati Medical Hospital on Thursday where the family members of the popular dhul exponent were beaten up by a section of junior doctors. 

Relatives told Assam Times that Bora who sustained injury was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday midnight. But he died in the wee hours allegedly without receiving any treatment. 

"We took him at 1 at midnight. Till 3 in the wee hours he was lying unattended and died. As we alleged negligence a group of junior doctors followed us and started attacking us with fists. We tried to flee but they chased us we were beaten us,'' said a relative. 

"Even the goons tried to damage my camera and mike as we tried to arrest the scene," a local TV journalist told Assam Times. 

Fans and relatives of the dhul exponent demand stern action against the junior doctors who created the scene.
