The Asom Gana Parishad virually sounded poll bugle holding a huge rally in Guwahati on Wednesday targetting both Delhi and Dispur.
Hundreds of party workers joined the rally which touch the major portions of the city.
In his address working president Atul Bora alleged that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre has hardly any agenda to uplift Assam.
He observed that Assam is bound to bear the brunt if the NDA government is allowed to proceed with these harmful policies.
"If you love Assam so much why are you leaving leaving our land to Bangladesh acting on the controversial land deal signed during the UPA regime? If you support the deal why you opposed it then? Your government has made us fool. Wait and see the consequences," said Bora.
Other leaders further accused the Modi government of trying to do away with the system to provide fund to Assam under special category status.
The speakers did not spare the Tarun Gogoi government for rampant corrupt and under performance.
Party leaders told Assam Times that the huge rally has revived their strength suggesting that regionalism will not die down.
