The Dispur Hospital has organized another Hepatitis B vaccination camp for scribes at Guwahati Press Club today (5 May 2015). The city based media persons, who had already taken the first dose of Hepatitis B vaccine on 5 April last, attended the camp for second (and final) dose of Hepatitis B vaccine.
As many scribes could not take the vaccine for various assignments another Hepatitis B vaccination camp is organized at Guwahati Press Club on next Monday (11 May). The camp will start at 11 am in the press club premise and continue till 1 pm. The interested member-journalists are requested to contact the press club office or Ujjal Saikia, public relation officer of Dispur Hospitals Pvt Ltd, Ganeshguri, Guwahati for advance registration.

An unidentified body of a girl was found from a compartment of the Awadh-Assam Express at Guwahati Railway station on Friday.The body was found after the train arrived in Guwahati from Lalgarh in Rajasthan to be spotted by the cleaners inside a plastic drum near the bathroom of S-7 coach. Railway authorities have ordered an enquiry and efforts are on to identify the passengers, who had boarded the coach and left the bag.

An independent panchayat candidate allegedly committed suicide on Friday after losing an election in Assam's Kamrup (Rural) district. Mintu Das contested from 114 Ganmou village panchayat in Sualkuchi and lost the elections, the results for which were announced on Friday night. A depressed Das later hanged himself in his house.
