Delhi police to grill Anil

Delhi police are seeking transit remand of Anil Chauhan in connection with a number of car lifting cases three days after the car lifting kingpin was caught in Guwahati.

A team of Delhi Police officers has been waiting in Guwahati seeking to grill Chauhan who is wanted in numerous car-theft cases in the national capital in the past several years.

“We have already declared him a proclaimed offender in as many as 76 car-lifting cases,” said a senior police official in New Delhi.

According to sources, Delhi police find it difficult to get Anil in transit remand right now. This has forced them to move the authorities seeking permission to grill him.
