The dawn to dusk Sibasagar Bandh called on Friday by various organisations like AASU, AJYCP and Gorkha Association in protest against the Naga aggresion was a total success. No untoward incident has been reported from anywhere.

Tinsukia: There were reports of gunfire along the Assam Arunachal Border in the Sadiya Shantipur area and around 10 people have been injured. The trouble started following a case of physical assault of a local citizen by miscreants of the neighbouring state. The local residents in the Assam side had blocked the surface communication route routinely used by the neighbouring hill tribals while travelling through Assam.
