The north eastern Chief Ministers are dead opposed to the idea of discontinuing the system of Special Category States.
The discontent came to light when the chief ministers from the region addressed the 64th North Eastern Council Plenary session in the capital on Friday.
In his address Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar lodged a protest over the decision to be followed by other Chief Ministers from the region. All they disappointment over the termination of the Special Category State Status.
Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi was conspicuous by his absence.
