The Assam government has estimated non plan expenditure at Rs 39,803.45 crore for 2015-16.
In his budget speech on the floor of the House, Chief minister Tarun Gogo who also holds the finance portfolio said put the plan expenditure estimate at Rs 66,142.16 crore for the period.
He said that tax receipts are estimated to be Rs 12,892.39 crore while non-tax revenues for the next fiscal are estimated to be Rs 4,325.87 crore.
These would out fiscal deficit at 2.18 per cent of state GDP and there would be revenue surplus of Rs 5,501.25 crore and is 2.76 per cent of estimated state GDP of 2015-16, said the chief minister.
