Killer Karnail held in Tezpur

Final Tezpur police have arrested Karnail Singh Kapoor on Monday a day after the Assam Rifles jawan shot dead two people in the town for refusing to serve him liquor.

Police officials told Assam Times that the 12th Assam Rifles jawan was caught on Monday night from the town. Then he was brought to the local police station where he was interrogated for several hours.

The incident took place on Sunday night at Mission Road where Kapoor went to the house of Gautom Das asking for liquor. When denied he fired upon at Das and his wife who died on the way to the hospital.
