The Assam government on Sunday banned any form of strike by employees of NationalHealth Mission under Essential Services Maintenance (Assam) Act, 1980.
Government officials told Assam Times that strike won't be allowed to disturb the common people. Strike in any form would be a punishable offence.
The government decision came up when employees of NationalHealth Mission are on strike affecting health services to press for fulfilment of their demands.
