Guwahati is gearing up to host the International Argi-Horticultural Show. The venue is the College of Veterinary Science playground at Khanapara which has been dressed afresh to hold the global event from February 10 to 14.
Officials told Assam Times that the huge groups from US, UK, Germany, France, Australia, Israel, Italy, China, South Korea, Netherlands, Canada, Thailand, Nepal and others have confirmed their participation in the five days event.
“The event will help us focus technology, innovation, inspiration in agriculture, horticulture, floriculture and allied sectors in the state,“ said a senior department officer.
Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi is scheduled to open the event being organised by the Agriculture Department in association with the Indian Chamber of Commerce and the Assam Agricultural University.
Top AAU experts told Assam Times that the show will help the state boost exposure of innovation and inspiration in agriculture and horticulture.
