BJP tenders apology for immigrant tag

Caught in a grim controversy BJP has tendered apology for the immigrant tag for the north easterners in the poll manifesto. Party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad tendered apology before the north easterners on Wednesday a day after the two words touched off a seismic wave of anger and protest across the region.
 

Notably, in its assembly poll manifesto, BJP called the north easterners immigrants who need to be protected in the national capital forcing the various political parties and organizations to erupt in anger and protest. All these parties and organizations demanded prime minister Narendra Modi and BJP to tender unconditional apology which forced the people to feel let down.
