BUTA help for refugees

Relief materials are pouring in for the refugees who have been rendered homeless during the recent cycle of violence.

The Bodoland University Teachers’ Association distributed relief materials for the refugees at Pakriguri and Ultapani in Kokrajhar on Tuesday.

BUTA members visited relief camps at Pakriguri under Serfanguri police station and Ultapani under Kokrajhar police station and shared their grief apart from distributing relief materials including baby foods, dry food, soap, mustard oil, detergent powder and clothes among inmates.

The association strongly condemned the carnage of Adivasi peoples by NDFB(S) militants and urged the society to stand united against anti-social element and held healthy situation in the region.

The association demanded concrete plan to rehabilitate the affected people and also deployment of sufficient forces for the security of the people and to prevent any further incidents
