3 NDFB-S rebels arrested

Security forces claimed to have killed 3 suspected cadres of NDFB-S militants during the combing operation from Sankosh area in Gossaigaon subdivision of Kokrajhar district on Monday.

According to police, identified as Rodip Narzary, Bennedict Basumatary and Rahidas Narzary were apprehended when they were on the way towards West Bengal from Jambuguri area in Gossaigaon in a Nano vehicle bearing registration no AS-01 MB 3661. Police further recovered 35 round live ammunition of AK-47 and hand grenade from them.   

A senior police officer in Gossaigaon said the apprehended NDFB-S were trying to sneak in neighbouring West Bengal after intensive operation was launched against the rebels.
