The House proceedings are unlikely to be seen on your television set in near future. The live coverage of an unruly scene on the floor might diminish the dignity of the House. This was said by none other than Assam Assembly Speaker Pranab Gogoi.
Gogoi is contemplating to disallow live coverage of the question hours inside the House. The Speaker said it when AIUDF created an unruly scene before they staged walk-out for not considering to bring an adjournment motion.
He said that a section of the members create such scene only for publicity though the TV channels. These behaviours inside the House on camera would further diminish the dignity of the House, Gogoi said.
AIUDF staged walk out when Speaker refuse to bring them an adjournment motion to raise the issue of ration in the tea gardens. Gogoi asked them to bring it in the zero hours.
