End to Gerukamukh logjam?

Experts and intellectuals have categorically asked KMSS not to compromise the mega dam issue in the tripartite talks in Delhi on Thursday.A public consultation organized in Guwahati on Tuesday said that the Centre and NHPC must listen to the voice of the north eastern people before resuming the construction work at Gerukamukh.

KMSS is gearing up for the tripartite talks in New Delhi on the fate of NHPC mega dams. The organization on Tuesday held a public consultation in Guwahati to finetune the main issues to be raised before Union power minister Piyush Goel. Apart from Union sports minister Sarbananda Sonowal, NHPC heavyweights are also expected to attend the meeting to be chaired by Goel.
