AASU flays PM over land deal

All Assam Students’ Union takes serious note of Narendra Modi’s open support to the Indo-Bangla land deal. The state’s influential student body has criticized the prime minister hours after he backed the deal at a rally in Guwahati on Sunday.

In a statement, AASU leaders made it clear that it won’t allow the Modi government at the Centre to implement it. AASU observed that the people of Assam are dead opposed to the deal and instead the Indo-Bangla border should be sealed if the Centre is really interested to stop influx from across the border.
