Sarusajai broke into a sea of humanity when Narendra Modi attended a huge party rally on Sunday. Accompanied by top state BJP heavyweights, the prime minister arrived at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium at 1 noon drawing huge clap from thousands of partymen who were eagerly waiting to hear him.
Partymen from the far flung areas started thronging the stadium from early in the morning. Security forces intensified patrolling in and around the rally site to thwart any trouble mongering attempts.
Crowd shouted slogans supporting Modi, when the prime minister took up one by one issue in a style. From safety and security to immigrants, from the 2016 election to land swap deal, he touched each and every issues confronting the state for decades.
Apart from Union minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju, Union minister for sports Sarnaanda Sonowal, MPs Raen Deka, Bijoya Chakravartty, Rajn Gohain, Kamakhya Prasad Tasha, Rameswar Teli and BJP state president Siddharth Bhatacharya were also shared the dais.
