RIA screens Cologne Art & Moving Images

The Academy of Electronic Arts Friday evening screened “Art & Moving Images” amidst a select gathering at the Research & Innovation Ashram, Guwahati. Art & Moving Images are three collections of global video art curated by Wilfried Agricola de Cologne, founder CologneOFF, Germany.  

The 2014 Cologne International Videoart Festival edition “CologneOFF 2014 India” included video art by Brit Bunkley (NZ), Heidi Kumao I(USA), Karolien Soete (Belgium), Ezra Wube (Ethiopia), Rick Fisher (Canada), Edward Ramsay-Morin (USA), Ben Grosser (USA), Jose Vieira (Portugal), John Graham (Canada),Francesca Leoni (italy), Cinzia Sarto (Italy), Igor Krasik (Germany), Mani Mehrvarz (Iran), Dustin Morrow (UK), Maria Korporal (Netherlands), Kai Welf Hoyme (Germany), Che-Yu Hsiu (Taiwan), Adriano Vesicchelli (Italy), Marina Fomenko (Russia), Elisabeth Leister (USA), Filip Gabriel Pudło (Poland), Carlo Sampiero (Italy/USA), vvitalny (Tusia Dabrowska & Clara Inés Schuhmacher) (USA), Atom Samit (Spain), Marcantonio Lunardi (Italy), Gabriele Tosi (Italy), Weigang Song (China), Francescsa Fini (Italy), Cristina Pavesi (Italy), Sin Quenza (Spain), Mauricio Sanhueza (Peru) and Claire Gustavson (USA).

CologneOFF is a mobil film & video festival which is organized simultaneously online and offline via physical screenings & cooperations. The launch of a new edition of CologneOFF is planned once a year during the period October-December with changing subjects and themes. The programs of all realized festival editions remain online for permanent. CologneOFF will expand continuously and represent a unique source for videoart on the net this way. 

The Academy of Electronics Arts is a learning, sharing, mentoring, networking, benchmarking and empowering institution that evolves continuously to inclusively address *all* e-Creative Practices & Practitioners, whether already existing or as yet inconceivable, whether professional or not, and whether formally recognizes as Artforms or not so, on a public-benefit basis into the future. 

Research & Innovation Ashram #002 is an experimental new arts & technology space. The facility, presents small exhibitions, performances, talks, screenings, fellowships, and so on, all hinged broadly around the theme of Experimental Creative Practices, and Practitioners.
