Kokrajhar girl rescued in Siliguri

She is Renuka Hembrom. The teen aged girl was missing from July. But she is back to home. Courtesy Nedan Foundation. The Kokrajhar-based non government organization managed to rescue Renuka on Monday. That too from Siliguri.  

She went missing in July when a women from West Bengal lured her a job. Renuka told Assam Times that the Santhali lady took her to Siliguri from Laltola bordering Srirampur.

She was last seen on July 24 at Srirampur area. Nedan Foundation on November 15 visited her family members feared that she might have fallen in a trap by traffickers.

As part of anti-human trafficking intervention in the region Nedan Foundation has visited her house twice regarding address confirmation and restoration of Renuka Hembrom who belong from Damrapara village of Srirampur area.
