Normal life remains paralyzed on Friday in Tinsukia district following a 24 hour bandh called by the Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad in protest against the assault on one of their leader.
Roads in most parts of the district remained completely deserted as vehicles refused to ply during this period. Shops and markets, schools and colleagues, banks and offices remained closed under impact of the bandh.
CRPF jawans on Thursday assaulted Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad’s Digboi branch president Prashanta Buragohain at Digboi bereft of any reason.
