HANTIGIRI NARZARY, KOKRAJHAR: Bardwi Sikla Sports Club FROM Kachugaon clinched the 9th Kanakeswar Narzary Memorial Football Trophy defeating Laimwn Sports Club FROM Aflagaon by 4-3 goals IN tie-breaker shots in the final match being played at Rup Nath Brahma ground at Ramfalbill in Kokrajhar on Monday. Both teams tried to score goal but failed during the game and led the match draw in fulltime. However, in the tie-breaker, Bardwi Sikla Sports Club, Kachugaon GOT the better of the Laimwn Sports Club by 4-3 to lift trophy. BTC executive member for sports and youth welfare department Mono Kumar Brahma gave away the championship trophy and Rs 15,000 in cash to Bardwi Sikla. BTC member Indra Mahan Brahma gave away the runners-up trophy and cash Rs.10,000 to Laimwn. Abala Basumatary of Laimwn was declared best player of the trophy and awarded trophy and Rs.1,500 in cash. Barhungka AC in Kokrajhar received fair play trophy in the tournament.
