The Centre will sternly deal with the incidents of racial attacks on the north east people outside the region. This was more or less of what Union minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju said.
Rijiju who came to Guwahati on Friday to attend a PHDCCI-sponsored conclave promised that the perpetrators would not be spared. “We are committed to prompt action against the culprits and my office will never let even a single perpetrators to go scot free,” said Rijiju who hails from Arunachal Pradesh.
On the other hand, student organizations and the various bodies have vehemently condemned the repeated incidents of racial attacks on the people from the north east. Three such incidents have sent no less shockwave across the north eastern region where the people demand exemplary punishments for the perpetrators.
