Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal blamed large scale influx for the entry of al-Qaeda and Jihadi militants in Assam for the last ten years.
Talking to reporters in the sidelines of a function in Guwahati on Thursday, Saonowal said that an united stand is required to crush the spine of the al-Qaeda and fundamentalist forces.
He called it a national threat and said that Centre has taken this issue seriously alleging large scale influx over the years, particularly during last 10 years from Bangladesh.
