Kolkata beat North East by 2-0 goals

Atletico de Kolkata won their second game in-a-row in the Indian Super League defating North East United in the fifth match at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Thursday.

Towards the fag-end, he was Jakub Podany who made it 2-0  against the NorthEast. Earlier Fikru Tefera Lemessa scored the goal in 16 minute of the first half and put the team on front.

The North East United are trying their level best at least to level the match amid deafening noise in the stadium. Earlier after the end of the national anthem the two captains, Joan Capdevila and Luis Garcia, lead their sides to the middle for handshakes.

Joan Capdevila asked the visitors’ team to start first up. Both NorthEast United and Atletico de Kolkata both won their opening games and now look to take the advantage when they clash in the Indian Super League.

Football Premier League final on Sunday

Kokrajhar Rhinos are taking on Parbatjhora Panthers at the BTC-Army Goodwill Football Premier League 2015 at Sports Authority of India (SAI) ground in Kokrajhar on Sunday. The winning team will get Rs. 2 lakh cash prize and a trophy.

Army in association with the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) conceptualized the football league aims to provide a platform to the local youth of BTAD to showcase their football talent and support from the administration and the Indian army with full branded football kits and opportunity to get selected in the state team or I-league clubs.  

BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary will attend the match as chief guest which will also host I-league selectors from Kingfisher East Bengal, Sporting Club Goa, Pune FC and Assam Regimental Center, to select talented youth from BTAD to represent their teams.

 

Poacher held

 A poacher was arrested along with arms at Mushalpur in Baksa district on Wednesday. 

  In a joint operation of police and army, the poacher, who was identified as Pretarash Ekka of Mushalpur was arrested. He was involved with wild life killing in the area .A country made gun was recovered from him.

Ardhendu, Siddique axed

Caught in a grim crisis, chief minister Tarun Gogoi gets more tougher with the dissident ministers.

Gogoi on Tuesday dropped ministers Siddique Ahmed and Ardhendu Dey a day after dissident leader Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma put in his papers as education and health minister.

The chief minister dropped the duo from his council of ministers for publicly taking on him and supporting dissident activities. This may follow action against the duo from the party high command.
