Girl raped, killed in Nagaon

In yet another case of gruesome crime against women that hangs the state’s head in shame, a teenaged girl was raped than kled n Nagaon district on Wednesday.

The shocking incident took place at Kawaimari village under Rupahihat police station at night where a girl was kidnapped to be raped by the miscreants. Then she was killed. Police and local residents found the body at a jute field in the village on Thursday.

 Investigation is in progress. Police officials probng the case are tightlipped on the development. They are waiting for the post mortem report.

Ayush healthcare system to train rural youths

The Ministry of Ayush and the Ministry of Rural Development have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop skilled manpower for the Ayush healthcare system. The agreement aims to enable rural youth to become a skilled workforce in the sector. In the first phase, the program will train 22,000 rural youths in FY2023-24, with a minimum placement guarantee of 70%.
