Two persons died in Guwahati in two different incidents when rainwaters wreaked havoc in the premier north eastern city on Monday. The first one incident took place in Lalganesh area where a 71-year old man identified as Ashib Bhattacharjee was electrocuted in waterlogged Netaji Road. Apart from it, NDRF recovered the body of a person from the river Bharalu in the morning. Kamrup Metropolitan district Deputy Commissioner M Angamathu toured the flood hit city areas on Monday and set up a relief camp in Anil Nagar area. On the other hand, the district administration has set up control rooms at the offices of the Kamrup Metropolitan district administration, Chief Minister's Secretariat and the Guwahati Municipal Corporation to monitor and coordinate the rescue and relief operations round the clock.
