Security forces are keeping close watch on Kamakhya temple in view of Jihadi plan to strike in some selected pockets of south east Asia which include Assam. Top ranked police officials have been constantly monitoring the security network around the historic temple. More security forces are set to be deployed in a day or two. Chief minister Tarun Gogoi on Wednesday discussed the security scenario in the around the temple with the top ranked police officers. Gogoi instructed the police top officials to sound maximum alert in the temples across the state. The al-Qaida leader Ayman al-Zawahiri recently announced its preparedness to set up base in South Asia. He also name Assam as the targets of the jihadi outfit.
