Union minister for forest and environment Prakash Javadekar is deeply concern over the rampant rhino poaching incidents that stifles the world heritage site.
Local residents rushed to Javadekar as soon as the Union minister arrived in the national park on Friday to assess the poaching incidents in Kaziranga.
Accompanied by state forest minister Rockybul Hussain, Javadekar assured the local residents that a slew of measures would have to be in place to firmly deal with the rhino poaching incidents.
Later, Javadekar held a high level meeting of forest authorities where rhino poaching incidents figured prominently. The minister would hold more meetings after visiting the national park.
