Assembly adjourns sine die

 The Assam Legislative assembly adjourned sine die on Saturday after holding 27 day long budget session.

The session began on August 4 last where chief minister Tarun Gogoi who holds the finance portfolio tabled the Rs 1385.77 crore deficit budget which got cleared.

The session was extended by a day to discuss the Assam-Nagaland border flare up and the shocking murder of school girl in Chirang by NDFB(S). But the discussion was not allowed citing it a sub judice matters.

Then speaker Pranab Kumar Gogoi adjourned sine-die on Saturday afternoon.
