Govt shirking responsibility!

Is the Tarun Gogoi Government shirking responsibilities from two serious issues sending shockwaves across the country? Yes, if one goes by BJP MLA Prasanta Phukan.  

The BJP MLA from Dibrugarh alleged on the floor on Saturday that the government was adopting an escapist attitude by not participating in the discussion on the two important issues.

Phukan said the talks should have been allowed as Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on 25 August assured the House to discuss the two issues on Saturday. One the gruesome killing of a school girl in Chirang and the another is the border flare in Golaghat where at least 15 people were killed.   

The Opposition walked out of the Assam Assembly on Saturday after Speaker refused to allow the House to discuss the recent shocking incident in Chirang where NDFB-S militants killed a school girl.
