NDFB-S attack on tea planter

Two small tea growers sustained injury when a group of NDFB(S) militants attacked them in Sonitpur district on Monday.

According to information, a group of four armed militants attacked the tea planter at Mainasiri in Urahaloga in the wee hours for failing to pay the money they demanded earlier.

Identified as Baula Basumatary and Rugi Basumatary, the duo have been undergoing treatment at the Rangapara hospital. This has forced the authorities to launch combing operations to apprehend the militants.
