Chief minister Tarun Gogoi and his loyalists will try their best to manage the floor to avoid any embarrassment in the upcoming assembly session slated from August 4.
Sources to Dispur told Assam Times that the party leadership is all set to issue whip to all the MLAs to support the government on the floor of the House.
The ruling party fears that the Opposition may move a no trust motion against the government in the upcoming session in view of the paralyzing dissidence within the Congress legislative party.
But a pro Gogoi camp leader told Assam Times that the dissidence camp has hardly any option to embarrass the government after their strength gone down from 50 to 20.
However, the dissident camp has announced that it will play the role of 'constructive opposition' in the House.
